2016-17 EcoART Contest Nomination Period Opens
The Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection (DEP) is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period and request entries for the 2016-17 EcoART Contest.
The department envisions a healthy and productive Commonwealth with a balanced stewardship of Kentucky's resources where future generations will enjoy an environment as good as or better than the present. The EcoART Contest is another way DEP supports its mission by encouraging eligible Kentucky high school students to express their views on the environmental themes of air, water and land and natural habitats through various works of art. All artwork must address one of these themes with an emphasis on Kentucky's environment.
The DEP EcoART Contest is open to all Kentucky high school students who are enrolled in a public or private high school or are being homeschooled during the 2016-17 school year. In its eighth year, the contest provides an opportunity for students to gain statewide recognition for their artwork as it relates to Kentucky.
Contest nominations are being accepted until midnight Feb. 17, 2017. All nominations must be sent via email only to firstname.lastname@example.org. A digital picture of each artwork nomination must accompany each form submitted. Winners will be notified in March, and winning entries will be displayed in the DEP Office Building in Frankfort.
