Each year the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency offers a variety of grants to assist with the assessment and cleanup of brownfield properties. The program offers a range of services and resources including workshops and grant review to help applicants build a quality application.

Help Desk, Education and Information
While there is not a comprehensive list of brownfield properties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a list of properties that have received brownfield serivces or are involved with one of our other cleanup programs can be accessed through an Open Records Request request.
If you are interested in redeveloping a brownfield and want to take advantage of the Federal liability defense (Bona Fide Prospective Purchaser) or the state's risk management program (Brownfield Redevelopment and Reuse Program) staff can talk to you about requirements and steps to qualify. You can also explore cleanup options available through the state.
